Strike Witches is officially dropped by us. There are few reasons we do it, we will state it later.
First, we want to say thank you very much for watching our release. The team has put effort in this series, which is the first anime we do. I’m sure you guys know how hard it is to do something for the first time in which that you have never done it before. All of us have no experience in fansubbing, and learning it after we decided to do Gigantic Formula. You can check our Gigantic Formula release and you will soon know how the fact that we are just beginners.
Second, I would like to apologize to all our fans. Please don’t be angry. Since you guys will be enjoying from another fansubs which are doing much and much better job than us. There is no reason for our release while they are better at every aspect. We ourselves start to collect their release of Strike Witches ^^.
Lastly, these are the reason we drop Strike Witches:
1. There are other fansubs doing much better job.
2. We are starting busier with our working life.
3. We are againts “many fansubs do 1 anime” (like Sekirei).
I would like to suggest you guys for download StrikeS’ release. Their jobs simply awesome. Several points they do win over us:
1. Lyrics. They have opening and ending lyrics. It’s awesome. They have a translator, which we don’t have (not really, our translator is simply busy with his university life and manga translation in Shoujo Crusade, not to mention she is a girl with not a chance in hell taking interest in loli anime).
2. Video Quality. They have access to transport stream directly from the Japan broadcaster. In simple words, it means they have thousand times better quality than us.
3. Uncensored. I’m sure you guys agree “loli anime + censor = sucks”. Come on man. You guys must agree with us in this point ^^
So, we are dropping it. BUT, if by chance StrikeS or LoliPantsu are dropping it or taking long time to release, we are re-continuing it.
Comments are welcome. No harsh comment, okay? Childish and brainless comments are to be deleted. No worry, we are not going to ban you (we may if I am pissed). But if that kind of comments are to be many, we are going to lock the comment permission.

Its too bad you are dropping this, first Loli-wolf drops it, now you, and quite frankly, I preferred the censoring ( I am addicted to magic

Please reconsider this. Those reasons why you think StrikeS is “better” don’t really hold much water. Lyrics are overrated and not really important, anyone who wants to sing along can look up such things themselves. I greatly enjoy the fact that you guys actually RELEASE YOUR SCRIPTS, this is a great thing that very few groups do. Video quality and censorship are nullified by this since I can just pick any raw I want with the quality I want to watch with your subs (when there’s an uncensored raw available I can just get that, etc.). And finally, StrikeS is two episodes behind. You guys were keeping up a good pace so far.

Mr. Anonymous does have a point, StrikeS is 2 episodes behind, and a Kara doesnt make a sub group better, although you said that you are getting busy, so it makes sense if you want to drop it. Thanks for the link and the episodes you have subbed up till now.
@Lumiere: you can try getting the episodes from http://animestash.info/anime/show/1217 if they dont work directly from strikeS, as they are re-encoded, although, due to that they may be out 1-2 days later

@Lumiere: I’m sure at least the avi version StrikeS will be easily playable. You might email us your problem. raijinshou is knowledgeable in playback problem as he has been helping around in CCCP forum and irc for those who has playback problems. In fact, all our playback problem (everything) is being handled by raijinshou. You can email us at taekuda@gmail.com with what is your problem. You will mostly instructed by raijinshou to download CCCP Insurgent and submitting the log. Or you can go to CCCP irc channel in rizon server and ask there for help. You can contact check, Lord, or Nicholi.
For those who inpatient to watch: You can watch the streaming version. The quality is a bit bad of course (what can you expect from streaming) but at least it has english subtitle. We will keep update the link of streaming together with download link from free file host such as rapidshare and uploaded.to (only these 2 we can, MU links are not managed by us as you had noticed).
Again for playback, please uninstall every of your codec and use CCCP. If you want to use VLC, it’s fine though you must avoid it when you meet MKV in soft subtitle. In facts, thanks to raijinshou, all of us hate VLC and K-Lite.
To put it simply:
- Inpatient guys = watch streaming version (streaming on site / download)
- Archiving = StrikeS’ releases.
See? No lost ^^ Coz our main reason of subbing this for archiving, so as its reason is defeated already, no point in continuing. So no worry guys, as I said. We are not abandoning all our fans. We guaranteed it that much.

Aw man.. this is really disappointing because I was really really hoping you wouldn’t drop it. I’ve been archiving your episodes but now I have to wait for StrikeS to catch up with the remaining 3 episodes. But oh well, I’ll keep you guys bookmarked just in case it turns for the worst. I really like your releases…it works fine for me and i’m able to stream it flawlessly from my PC to my PS3 since the codec is well done. I hope you’ll continue this and thanks so much for all your hardwork, greatly appriciated. Cheers!~ =D

*Sob* This is so very sad. Your releases are the one I’ve been looking forward to week after week. I really don’t want to download other groups releases. I echo others comments, your group always manages a decent speed + quality, not to mention you’re quite a friendly group. For all that, you’re very much appreciated.

Okay, I will get to the point.
Hi, everyone.
I’m raijinshou, the Timer and Project Leader of Strike Witches. Since there are a lot of you are requesting us to reconsider, I think it’s very appropriate and a must for me to tell you the main reason of dropping the series (the above statements by taekuda are mainly formality, but not lying too).
The main reasons are our original purpose and me myself. Our orginal purpose is to release episodes worth archive since an already subbed anime broadcasted in Japan is normally ignored by many groups. You can see example like Druaga and Blassreiter where there is only 1 group doing it. We indeed waited a few days to see if this series will be subbed, then deciding to sub when no-one (but not long after, Loli-Wolf appeared).
Second reason is me. I just got a new job (before was unemployed). Not that I can’t time, but I can’t seed. I’m sure you all know our upload speed is only up to 5 KB/s and need 12 hours for initial seeding. With me, the last person able to seed, is gone due to working, nobody is able to seed. As u wonder, we need 12 hours to see, but with working, we have no more time. Not to mention our internet is getting slower day by day.
So to resume this project, we will need help from outside. We are actually closing our groups to ourselves only as we believe outsider will make us apart at later time. But seems that we have no choice.
Here it is: We need an xvid encoder that capable of seeding the file after it’s done encoded. You don’t need to have godspeed of upload speed, as long as you can make sure it’s seeded to 100% after encoded, you are eligible. And since we are not striving for any quality release but mainly for speed, we don’t need you to do some expert encoding UNLESS you want to do it then we leave it to you that decision.
This is the requirement:
1. Simple xvid encoding: use virtual dub, encode from raw to xvid directly (no uncompressed encoding needed), use vsfilter to insert subtitle into raw (no other filters need, we don’t strive for quality), resolution 704×396, file size 175MB, 2-pass encoding.
2. Able to seed properly: make sure you are able to do first initial seeding to 100%. We don’t want today half, tomorrow half. It kills the fans, trust me. Upload speed: tell us, we will consider.
3. Dedicated. I don’t want someone do 1 episode then gone. Ask yourself whether you can do this or not. If 100% sure you can, then you may apply.

I will try my best to time fast so that release will be fast. As soon as we got one promising, we will resume this project.
